How to handle your sadness

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well now let’s talk about how to start fresh and happy after a bad week we went through.

First of all I am proud of you if you got out of bed or made your hair today. We always don’t look the same and feel the same everyday is different and feeling lazy, sad or not being in the right state of mind sometimes is completely okay and acceptable.

These are the things I do to take my mind to a better state after the mood swings I go through:-

1. Don’t think about what’s remaining or how far you have to go but think about how far you came.

2. Make a cup of tea or cook something for yourself.

3. Take a shower or wash your face properly.

4. Go for a walk or run.

5. Start a mood journal and read out the page you wrote when you were happy.

6. Vlog yourself I swear it works so good on me.

7. Don’t forget to drink more water and stop bloating your stomach.

-Also pat yourself on the back with crossed arms and praise yourself every time you do something.

My first MUN experience

I attended my first ever MUN (Model United Nation) at January end and February 2019 in KWS. It was their first ever MUN. Me as a first timer couldn’t think of a better opportunity for myself to develop my skills and learn something which might be really important for me in the future. The program was running for 3 days but we were supposed to attend mock sessions on Saturday in Kathmandu World School itself. We paid for the bus service which would pick up at Koteshwor bus stop early in the morning. We were all excited and had a good time there that day. We learned about MUN and its rules. This was the only informal time we had where we could choose our community. I went for WTO ( World Trade Organization) which was known to be the most boring committee but eventually was the best ever I could expect.

My committee

Finally the day arrives, first day of the program. We needed to wear cultural for that day. I wore a saree for that day. I still remember draping a orange saree around me and freezing early in the morning waiting for the bus. The event then began we had the best and most supportive chair who guided me all the time when I required it. We only talked about basic things on this day. We talked about issues and delegate of USA was badly attacked this day. The intensity in his face that day told it all. I did a very good job that day and was proud of myself.

Chair

The next day was my birthday but I still needed to attend the committee. I got ready in semi formal theme and left for second day hoping all good things to happen to me. That day the time I entered people started attacking me with their knowledge. I was the youngest around them because most of them were 17 or 18years old. I really panicked and couldn’t help myself my rival delegate of Germany really scared the crap out of me when he tore the clear bag claiming the products of our country are fake. I won bestly dressed that day but I was not happy with my performance. We also had some rounds of games in middle for entertainment and it really helped me to calm down. I never had a weird birthday like this but if I could go back I would still attend this program because it gave me amazing lessons.

My birthday 🥳

The last and final day was so so and I was just an okay performer and I didn’t win the prize because my committee didn’t really enjoyed my performance like they did of the winner. I had really amazing time there and would always cherish the moments.
